A compact bushy variety which is as attractive as it is productive, for masses of medium hot fruit which measure at approx. 38000 Scovilles of heat. Its size and neat rounded shape make it ideal for patio container displays or even as indoor plants grown on a sunny windowsill or conservatory. It will grow happily outdoors and produce plentiful crops in a sunny sheltered spot, but they love plenty of warmth and sunlight so highest yields will be achieved in a greenhouse.

For greenhouse crops, sow indoors, 0.5cm (¼”) deep, thinly in a tray of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20˚C (60-68˚F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 7-21 days. Transplant to individual pots when large enough to handle. Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Plant out to large pots, growing bags or greenhouse border. Outdoor crops, can be grown in mild areas, delay indoor sowing until March or April. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 40cm (16”) apart, when frosts are over. Choose a warm, sunny sheltered spot. Crops will be smaller and later than those in a greenhouse.

Surplus fruit are best frozen whole and used straight from the freezer when required.
