An early variety for rewarding crops of big succulent peas filling large pods averaging 9cm in length. Plants show good disease resistance to Fusarium, mildew and pea mosaic virus for excellent quality, high yielding harvests. Pea Kudo provides easy to grow and reliable crops of great tasting peas fresh from the garden to the plate. Peas are good source of vitamin C, vitamin K and Vitamin B1.
Sow outdoors where they are to crop, in flat drills 15cm (6”) wide and 5cm (2”) deep. Sow in a zig-zag fashion along the drill, allowing 5cm (2”) between seeds. Fill the drill with fine soil and firm down gently. Allow 60cm (2’) between rows. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 10-18 days. Early sowings benefit from frost protection. Sticks or twigs placed either side of the row for support will make picking easier. Water well until plants are established. Successional sowings will ensure a continuous supply and long harvest. Pick regularly for the best yields.
