Dill (Dwarf) Nano is a real must for any herb garden. This hardy annual can be grown in pots and is perfect for all year-round indoor crops, patio pots and windowsills.
Remarkably compact, this exciting introduction produces masses of leaves on bushy plants.
A deliciously aromatic herb that’s great added to fish dishes or salads.
Sow & Grow:
Sow outdoors: thinly where they are to crop, 1.5cm(½in) deep directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered.
Seedlings usually appear in 14-21 days. Water well until plants are established. Thin seedlings to 20cm(8in) apart.
Or to grow indoors: sow 0.5cm(¼in) deep, in small pots of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20°C(60-68°F) is ideal.
Plants can be grown on a light windowsill. Pick the leaves as required, (outdoor crops from May). Pick a few leaves from each plant so they regrow quickly. Seed heads should be gathered when they turn light brown (outdoor crops only).
Dry heads indoors shake out the seeds and store in an airtight container.
Hints & Tips:
They may be dried or frozen but for best flavour use fresh.
